1) How long after spraying RIP Fleas Extra before I can go back into the room?
Follow the directions on the can. You should ventilate the room for a minimum of one hour before re-entering.
2) What should I do about the fish tank in my room?
You should remove fish tanks prior to spraying RIP Fleas Extra. If this is not possible, cover the tank with a blanket or clingfilm and switch off the aerator pump. Un-cover and resume aeration once the room is sprayed and aired.
3) Should I spray RIP Fleas Extra if I am pregnant?
There are no specific exclusions advised for pregnant women. Read the label before use and adhere to the safety advice.
4) Where should I spray?
For succesful environmental flea control we recommend that you spray every room in the house. This means treating under furniture, in pet’s beds and all floor areas.
5) What should I do after I have sprayed?
Make sure the house is vacuumed 24 hours after application and then a minimum of twice a week for two weeks after spraying.
6) Should I spray RIP Fleas Extra if I have young children?
There are no specific exclusions advised for young children. Read the label before use and adhere to the safety advice.
7) How much should I spray?
A 4 second spray will cover 1 sq.m. There is enough spray in one can to cover the whole house.
8) How long does RIP Fleas Extra last?
RIP Fleas Extra will keep on working to keep your house flea free for up to 12 months.
9) Can I use RIP Fleas Extra on my furniture?
Yes. We advise that you treat a small inconspicuous area of fabric to confim compatability.
10) Should I spray my dog or cat with RIP Fleas Extra?
No. RIP Fleas Extra is an environmental spray and should not be used on animals.
11) I have laminate / Wooden flooring, do I still need to spray?
For successful environmental flea control all areas of the house should be treated.
12) Do I need to spray my pet’s bed?
Yes. Fleas will be lurking in your pet’s bed. Spray it with RIP Fleas Extra and leave it to dry for an hour before allowing your pet to use it.
13) Do I need to spray my own bed?
No. Fleas will not develop in material cleaned by being washed in a washing machine.
14) I’m being bitten by fleas but I don’t have a pet. Where are the fleas coming from?
Immature stages of the flea lifecycle inhabit the environment not an animal. Therefore even a brief visit from an animal with fleas will infest your home.
15) Why are the fleas biting me?
Although fleas do not normally live on people they will bite, typically causing red marks on the ankles, wrists and waist. In their search for a suitable host they will often inadvertantly bite humans.
16) I’ve sprayed RIP Fleas Extra and it doesn’t seem to have worked why not?
The pupal stage of the flea lifecycle is protected from RIP Fleas Extra by a hard shell. Regular vacuuming will stimulate the flea to hatch and be exposed and affected by RIP Fleas Extra.
